What a great story!

They guy that owned this bike got it from the original owner (his grandfather). Legend has it that his grandfather rode this bike ALL THE WAY from NEW YORK CITY to Portland, Oregon. Since this was before portable photography there is no proof but I guess his grandfather's journal talks about passing Lewis and Clark on the way to Portland!

I guess some times the truth is stranger then fiction!
